Jesus is Real, and so is Fake Jesus Programming (Defiling the Image of God)

Dan Duval discusses what he calls “fake Jesus programming,” describing how some trauma survivors—particularly those who report satanic ritual abuse—may encounter a counterfeit representation of Jesus during inner-healing ministry. He suggests that this figure may speak words of condemnation, reinforce shame, or prevent a genuine encounter with Christ.

Dan argues that ongoing encounters with Jesus should be a normal part of the Christian life and that inviting Jesus into painful memories can facilitate healing. He also describes alleged occult programming in which a cult member dressed as Jesus abuses or mocks children while they are instructed to pray, potentially creating internal associations or “agreements” that later manifest as a demonic presence or fragmented part presenting itself as Jesus.

According to Dan, these experiences can interfere with a survivor’s ability to recognize genuine encounters with Christ and may need to be intentionally renounced. He describes approaches that involve identifying the memory anchoring the programming and symbolically “divorcing” the perpetrator. He adds that similar programming can allegedly target perceptions of the Father and Holy Spirit and may contribute to distorted theological beliefs.

He recommends specific prayer resources and encourages people to ask God whether they were exposed to such scenarios, particularly when unexplained spiritual or emotional patterns persist.
